Some date functions don't work in SharePoint but one that DOES work and is very useful is DATEDIF to calculate the intervale betweeb two dates. That's not on the list but it works fine.

random number never tried but both RAND()*100 and RANDBETWEEN(1,100) don't work.

Only other option I can think of it a custom field... if you think of anything else let us know.

Have you tried getting a random number between 0-100 using RANDBETWEEN ?
